Video: EDIT clip from "Three Kings" where the captain is trying to
encourage a soldier who is torn between his desire to save his friend and the
risk of dying.
Small Group Questions: Name your biggest fear
when you were a kid? Are you still afraid of that today? Why or why
not? What is your biggest fear now? Why? Do you think your fears can keep
you from reaching life goals? Describe to us some fears have you already
overcome? How did it feel?
(Referring to the video) The captain told
the soldier that you don't develop the courage to face your fears, you face your
fears to develop courage. The fastest way to get past the things you are afraid
of doing, is to do them any way.
(insert personal story of overcoming one
of your fears)
