Movie Reviews
by Jonathan McKee

Invincible (12/19/2006)

Rated PG for sports action and some mild language.

Directed by Ericson Core (Daredevil, The Fast and Furious)

Starring Mark Wahlberg, Greg Kinnear

Jonathan's Rating: Theatre Worthy

Great stories make great films.  Invincible is inspirational.

Invincible tells the incredible but true story of Vince Papale, the Philadelphia Eagles fan who became a player in 1976.  This bartender who had just one year of high school football experience, not only made the Eagles during open tryouts, but restored the “heart” that the team needed to start winning again.

Invincible preaches the message of “never give up” loud and clear.  Every practice, Vince stares at the devastating note from his x-wife, “You’ll never amount to anything… you’ll never make a name for yourself.”  That only drove him to keep on.

Make sure you rent the DVD and catch the documentary about the true Vince.

SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
A great film for the entire family.
