The Break Up is more in the lines of a “frustrating” comedy. Ask yourself: do you like watching other couples fight? Because that’s the gist of the movie. Basically, a couple breaks up, but neither wants to give up their nice Chicago apartment. So each gets meaner and nastier as time goes on, attempting to drive the other crazy. Vaughn is definitely funny and you’ll laugh at some of the arguments that are typical of our genders… but over all, I found the movie wearisome. SHOULD KIDS SEE IT? Nope. Crude humor, typical PG-13 nudity and sexual content. My teenager won’t be seeing this one. |
