Games & Icebreakers
King /Queen of the North Pole
You can use this game up front during the Christmas Season to have lots of fun seeing if students can remember the basics about Christmas stories. Here’s how you do it.
Bring three students up front and put them each in a chair FACING THE AUDIENCE. Tell them that they will each get to answer a question each round, with the questions getting harder as the rounds continue. They are in the game until they miss a question (much like the famous Millionaire show).
To spice it up, and more importantly, to keep the crowd interested, you can offer your three contestants these Christmas Presents (life lines). They can use both, but only once each.
1. Sleigh Ride: Everyone in the room has a sheet of paper and writes what they believe the answer to be. They then make a paper plane out of their answer and fly it towards the contestant. The contestant chooses three of the "sleighs" to see what their answers are.
2. Christmas Wish: this is where they can ask any adult in the room what answer they would choose, BUT they have a time limit of 30 seconds to answer.
To eliminate confusion, always ask questions in the same order. That way you don’t get confused. Here are the questions:
