What do our kids believe about life's origin? What will they hear when they go off to college? Are we preparing them? We've all been inundated with the recent reports of a huge percentage of kids exiting the church at age 18. Everyone is scratching their heads asking why? Research is telling us that when kids graduate high school they are not ready for the questions and pressures that they'll face on their own. The problem is, their faith isn't their own. In one of our recent podcasts Dan Kimball told us we are not preparing our Christian teenagers for life after high school. Why are we not equipping kids to handle what the world throws at them? How can we get them ready? Are there any resources out there to combat the lies bombarding our kids each day? And since this is THE SOURCE... are there any FREE resources out there?
Glad you asked.Ben Stein's new film "Expelled" is coming to a theatre near you April 18th, and we've got a FREE resource kit with a DVD and discussion guide that will help you use this film to talk with your kids about this issue. This "Michael Moore-style" documentary not only presents a case for intelligent design, it stands up for the fact that as Americans we know that the FREEDOM to wrestle with such foundational questions about our existence is of utmost importance.
