NOTE FROM JONATHAN: I think one of the best ways we can point to Christ is through "acts of service." I'm not talking about handing out tracks or "door knocking"... I'm talking about good ol' fashion helping people in need. And if people ask why, we simply answer, "Because that's what Jesus would have done, and we're pretty excited about Jesus." Bearing Fruit: The homes around our church have a lot of citrus trees. Some have as many as 10-15 trees per home. This is far too many for the average person to harvest and I noticed that much of the fruit was lying on the ground, rotting. I went around and asked if we could pick the fruit and give what was left over to a local food bank. The owners were ecstatic. So one afternoon we headed over to as many homes as we could and picked fruit. We had so many oranges we almost filled my truck. As we left each home we gave the owners information about our church and a "Joy Sheet". The Joy Sheet was just a paper that tells them why they can have joy today.
