it difficult to know the answer of question
This is how I used it for my teens. adding in spiritual warfare and depending on each other.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Weather want to be or not we are in a war. This isn’t a typical conflict but some of the principals are the same.
• What does it take to win a war or battle?
2. Armor/ defenses
• What are soldiers in the trenches fighting for?
2. An ideal
3. The person next to them
I want to set aside all the other things that it takes for a battle or war to be successful and I want to talk about the person next to you in battle.
• If you were going to be in a war what kind of person would you want in your fox hole?
• What kind of person are you? Are you the kind of person you want in your fox hole?
The church is something that Jesus set up so that we wouldn’t have to be alone in or battles against the rules, dark powers of this world.
Yes, we have God on our side but sometimes it helps when we have a physical brother standing next to us.
Look around this room.
These are people that God has put in your life to stand with you and fight alongside you. That when you are weak they will help to carry you. (Galatians 6:2)
When you are about to step on a land mine they will hold you back from taking that step.
• How well do we know the people who are in our fox hole? (the people here)
If we are in a war, we need to get to know each other like our lives depend on it.
Next week we will come back to this passage and explore further this idea of spiritual warfare looking at the full armor of God. The tools, equipment, and weapons of this war.
